Some great ideas here.

Ummm... how big are mobile phones these days?

My mum knitted me a mobile phone case once - very effective for cushioning it in my pocket and easier to remove phone than mobile 'socks' or 'leather' pouches.

Only drawback (but wont affect everybody and still a problem for me with other phone cases) is dust - once I get the case dusty it scratches the phone as bad as having no case.

It's back to sandwich bags for me -I get some funny looks but they are the best mobile cases I've ever had. I use a new one twice a week.

Anyway thumbs up from me for knitted phone cases if I didn't get so dusty or dirty.

OK the first few phone gloves and purses are done. I'll post some pics tomorrow when I've sewn butons on.

I'll be doing flowers that could be fixed to them too or used as brooches.

And v nice they are too, having seen some samples at the w/e.
Particularly like the neutral toned zig-zag one.

Those bags of yours (you gave one to Ruby remember?) should go well now that we have to buy plastic ones. She used it an awful lot.

Here are the first few crocheted ones, phones holders top, purses bottom. The purses are credit card sized. These are all hand spun yarn (by me) and vintage glass buttons on the purses.

Gorgeous colours.

When you sell them, how about putting a little thank you/business card in each one? Thank you on one side, your info on t'other.

Ahem. Any recommendations for good (economic) places to obtain said brooch pins and hairclips, please? I appear to have just said yes to donating some items to my nephew's school craft fair

If anyone makes such a thing, I want a brooch with a big pin rather than a nice thing stuck to a little pin.

At the moment there seems to be a bit of a craze with young mums buying and making headbands for there baby daughters with big flowers on them, we have had lots in the shop asking about crochet head bands dont know if its something you could russle up and add some big flowers to them, it all seems to stem from them watching 19 kids and counting all the Duggers little girls wear them. Just a thought.

Things that are in a price range that kids can buy with pocket money,

- little dangly things to hang off bag and coat zips
- crochet or knitted wristbands

Thanks

A lot of the pins around do seem to be quite tiny; that'll be fine for what I am looking for but I (think I) see what you mean about wanting a bigger one for day to day wear.
