Sorry I didn't make it over this afternoon.
My water supply decided to do the usual wait till winter/nearly Christmas to start playing up. By the time it was temporarily fixed it was too late to get there and back before animals needed to come in again.

Just got back home and realised the mince pies I made to leave were still in the back of my car . You will have to make do with virtual ones till next we meet, so sorry

Virtual mince pies last forever, though!

Definitely the right decision for us not to come - I'm quite mad and Leo's unspeakable. Yesterday's awfulness culminated in him stripping off his costume down to the skin* before Class One were herded out of the nativity; throwing a fit when he wasn't allowed to cross the hall and come and say hello; and then lying down and screaming in the playground outside the school office because Nenna had sucked the last brownie.

I'm currently drinking some of the box of wine I had planned on bringing and wishing we were there; but am also quite happy to still be at home

*except his trousers, he pointed out later, in his own defence

Oh Christmas joy - you'll be able to remind him when he's all grown up

It has to be said. How ever stroppy, rebelious, or smelly my lot get, stories like this make me eternaly grateful I'm a secondry school teacher.
