Or manhut as Nick called it

Chucked together from bits I had knocking around.
Excluding electric, welding rods and cutting discs ... Total build cost £0.00
Is very handy whilst I live (sort of) off-grid, especially now temperature is freezing (outside and in my caravan).

Timber and sheeting came from 'barn' I demolished

The 'C' channel on the floor (with the tin foil flap) sits ontop of burner and makes a small oven. The 'oven' doesn't get massively hot but I've cooked fish, chestnuts, chicken breasts etc - takes a while but no worries about overcooking
Burner is made from gas bottle, spanner for door handle, cast iron soil pipe as flue, bit of mangle as side hotplate, bits of victorian garden railing for general bracing and a cow letter rack for decoration.
Tis all a bit rough but it is only a temporary shelter.

Wont the caravan get warm quicker if the stove was inside it?

Nice to have some where to have a quick warm whilst working outside. Its all to easy to pop in for a warm & not get back out again.

Pleased as I am with my burner I wouldn't install it in a caravan.
I didn't want to splash out on a new burner until I knew I was OK living on-site in caravan, plus I wanted to live in the caravan for a bit instead of doing something drastic I may regret later.

The freezing weather has pushed me into action and a new stove for caravan is winging it's way to me. Fitted hearth today - removed seating, 1mx1mx1.5mm steel plate screwed to floor and granite(?) slabs laid on sand and cement. will seal and grout tomorrow - all done with stuff I got knocking about.

Outside burner is good for drying wet clothing.

Just make sure that you go through the roof (or wall) using the proper bits.
