We're using a mobile canteen, last used as a potting shed at a plant nursery. It's brilliant - large windows down one side, easy to move with a 4x4, just needs a bit of straw on the floor and cleaning under the perches once a week. We've also got 5x 200 bird static sheds in various stages of disrepair. While we're using some of them at the moment, as soon as we can find another mobile something, we'll go for that. Being able to move them to fresh grass every few days is so much better than static runs.

I'd love to have one of those old poultry houses that you still see from time to time. You know the sort I mean the ones that are on iron wheels. They seem such a good idea, just hook em up to the tractor and tow them to a fresh spot every now and then. Mind you, I've always loved the idea of one day perhaps owning and kipping in one of the old mobile shepherds huts.

It's really solid, and a lovely spacious home to one of my breeding groups (cream legbars) at the moment.

There must be space for about 50 (or more) but presently 10 ladies and a cockerel

All our houses are on skids, so they can be pulled by a quad or tractor. We have had the smiths one in various places around the farm, including inside the big barn once.

OK found it.

I think I rang him and asked if he could do a poulty house, and he came and discussed what I wanted. They were delivered and final fit was done here, on site.

Thank you folks, I appreciate the food for thought. On my phone only this week, so I'm looking, but not typing much

I wonder if I could get round the condensation issue by having the entrance shut with a wire door?

Angle grind some holes and then pop rivet some wire mesh over them.
