Thats going some TC. The thought of you catching that first fish on a home made lure must be tantalising. Never mind, they'll soon be inshore. What paint have you used? |

I've made half a dozen. I use a simple acrylic white wood undercoat, then add some grey for the next coat and then the secret top coat - glittery clear nail polish (Rimmel 500 disco ball and NYC gramercy glitz if you're interested). |

Ooh, it's got the London Look.
Do you buy it yourself, or send Bugs in?
I used to have to buy gallons of nail varnish remover for work, and I'm sure the lady in Boots was suspicious. |

I've not bought any on my own although I happily would. I often look at the prices, which are shocking for what the stuff is, and only get something if it's on offer.
I do have to make sure I clean my nails before going out of the house if I've been painting them though.
I'm now trying to get my masculinity back by looking at lead smelting. |

I used to melt lead over a Bunsen at lunchtime. No protection, and breathed in the fumes.
What could possibly go wrong? |

Actually, no. But it was in my mums kitchen ladle. I had a small industry churning out kobolds and goblins for the D&D kids. |

More likely to be the high heels that you were wearing. |

That looks fab. Bet it would work on Pollack as well. Good luck with it. |

Very life like, how did you get the scale pattern - painting through a net or something?
Looking at the weather I may get to try mine out next week, it's going to be sunny if still rather cold. |

First I cover the wood with tin foil and burnish it down, then spray the light base colour first. Next comes the black through a net followed by several coats of epoxy resin.
Cheers
