I seem to have missed out on hatching anything this year nad would love to give my new incubator a test run. Is it too late or should I wait till Spring?

Absolutely not. Which reminds me that I have a dozen sussex eggs and two dozen guinea fowl on the sideboard in the kitchen to shove in.

ETA: Be prepared to keep them inside for a few weeks longer though.

Thanks - I'll fire up the incy then. Your Barnebars and Legbars are now in lay Chez so I shall put some of their eggs in.

Bummer- the fox visited this afternoon while I was out at the Goat Club Produce Show, and took my fab brood raising silkie hen. Guess the incubator had better come out for now. Booooooger. I was in such a good mood till I saw the trail of feathers...

That's sad. Lots of fox activity around here at the moment too. They're obviously limbering up for the winter.
