It's 5-11 of Sept. Skill share is 10-11, isn't it?

It just looked rather comfy to wear.
The person I saw wearing one had it on over trousers and a t-shirt.

Fair enough.
I do rather agree with gytha girl on the actual design though.

I've seen a pattern for these somewhere so will try and find it again. The bottom of the blue one is a negative curve but can also be done with insert side panels.

My only problem with them is that if I owned any I'd probably just live in them and my Husbeast would be ashamed to be seen in public with me:)

£99 does seem a lot of money...I like the free flowing one...Think another winter project with the sewing machine on the list.

Well I can't find the pattern anywhere so I'm going to get an old sheet out and have a play with it until I get the right shape. I'll take pictures so I know what to do in future and will let you guys see what I come up with:)

I saw these in 'the flesh' at Yarndale, Skipton on Saturday. They are really nice but as I thought and has been echoed on here, not £99. They are made in a really thick, grainy linen and the purple and cerise ones were gorgeous, as was the ticking stripe.

The sketch looks pretty accurate to me on how you get that point at the side. It is just cut very wide so you would need wide fabric, or even join narrrower stuff in the centre. The armholes are quite deep.

I was picking the brains of the lady who makes them, she had made one for herself and it actually fitted her, rather than was baggy. I'm a bit busty so would have to take into account that it might need darts or poke out a bit.

I suggested that they might come up with a sort of dolman sleeved top to wear over, that came just under the bust, for days when you wouldn't want a T shirt.

You can buy linen fabric fairly reasonably in Ikea, and I think I do have some from a project I never started.

Sorry meant to say, Tall Yarns have another one, which has vents at the side and gathers at the bottom, with rather large pockets. The fabric is a bit gathered. I didn't like that one so much, very geekish, whereas the other one is quite wearable anyway.

I recently bought something sort of similar from Joe Brown's - cotton fabric, bit like a calico, with a good heavy feel, but great pockets for popping wool in while on the go. Might have a go at making a special knitting one when machine comes back for servicing. Thanks for bumping this up again
