So, what do you have planned for 2014 in the way of arts and crafts?

Yes, good exercise too on the lathe I think. Just need to find somewhere to do some axe work without driving my neighbours mad with the noise now.

I want to find my mojo again craft wise, I used to be the sort of person who couldn't sit still without something to do and over the years I've lost that. So I would like to get back to doing patchwork and quilting, crocheting and maybe even knitting!

Oh yes, your post reminded me Joanne, I must knit more squares to finish off a big blanket i've been doing for ages and had forgotten about.

A year of gilding and more etching all backed up by various museum visits.

I'm with you there Jo. I have knitting that I didn't even pick up last year and cushion covers to make and I want to make a rug...RW made me a peg loom a couple of years ago and i haven't even tried it out yet

I excavated a big Ikea bag of cones of wool from the Wool Room of Doom yesterday which are perfectly good but not ideally suited to my 'work' knitting. I need to try to find something constructive to do with them all.

I ideally this would involve setting up a loom, but I lack the space. Wonder if I can find time to decamp to Ginkotree's place for a few days and take over the barn. hmmm

* Add more to the supposedly king size quilt I started 30 years ago and which currently is about the size of a pram blanket.

* Find my MoJo for my Jewellery again.

* Find some 'pocket money' items to suppliment the tops, key rings etc for the business applicable for the larger events we hope to do this year.

* Line the sewing box Pete renovated.

* Spend less time on the computer to allow all of the above.

Sure there is a lot more but I will only depress myself if I think about them as well.

I have come to the conclusion that I need to have a play with making soap.
I have been making soap already, it is pretty much an unavoidable by-product of biodiesel, but I'm not sure you'd want to wash with it...
