Interesting seed company in Ireland.
I have bought some of the Cascade Red/Yellow corn, and some Beefy Resiliant Grex mixed beans.

Now to sneak them in past Barrie when they arrive.

I found them from the link in the tall wheat thread. I also love the look of them and am interested in their links with Carol Deppe who has written this book which Tim will buy for us when he gets his bonus

And you

They say they are the only European supplier of her home bred seeds. I am trying to resist getting the seeds but I might cave in. The corn does look amazing and I want to try to move towards feeding my chickens from home grown grain. I have bought some bird millet which I will try amongst other grains (amaranth, alfalfa, buckwheat, siberian pea tree etc)

I placed my order with BES other day for 'those' tall wheat seeds...and they just arrived
AND...not only the 'tall' stuff...I ended up with hulless oats..april awned wheat...suyo long cucs (BTW..really nice they are too!)...love apple peppers (fancied some 'windowsill plants') and some beefy resilient grex beans...

I didn't know that I needed all those!...seed boxes are already full of 'stuff'....

I knew I would crack
I got the Corn, the grex beans, the Candystick Desert Delicata Squash, the Maris Widgeon whet, the perennial wheat, the hull less oats, lady Godiva squash and a fab sounding salad plant called

February Orchid Orychophragmus violaceus A wild plant from China made popular by Joy Larkcom, this is a brassica for use in salads or as a cooking green. Sown in summer and autumn it provides mild but tasty leaves throughout the winter. Sow directly in the ground or in modules from June to September. The beautiful violet spring flowers are also edible
.

Now I must go and do some proper work

Whoops - Cascade corn, beffy beans, Maris W wheat, rye, hulless oats, 9* perennial broccoli, Lady Godiva, Costata R courgette, leek Solaise Bleu, camelina oilseed, Golden Bantam sweetcorn, Suffolk linseed.

Was pleased to find the leek again, and the golden bantam, both of which have grown well for me in the past. Very interested in the grains, although I have various ones already, tucked away.

That's interesting - I need to 'refresh' the seed supply this year, hanging them on the wall by the fridge was a bad idea, much too warm a spot.

Seeds arrived this morning; pleased to see that the corn is a 'flint' variety. My last large lot of flint corn was stolen Good value as the packets are generously filled. Getting them stashed away for future sowing, very pleased, so thankyou for the info.

Ta for the link.
I grew the Candystick Delicata last year, managed to get four fruits successfully hand pollinated, so when I get round to cracking them open should have masses of seed.
Really really good flavour, strong plants despite growing them through plastic which they've not been bred for, lots of fruit. All the fruits I still have in store are in perfect condition still.
