Glad to hear that Amber seems better. I could be very tempted by a puppy

They should be very tempting Chi pups are fantastic little people! They're a bit like buses, you don't have a litter for ages then two come along at once. Orla is expecting 6 or possibly 7 and Amber 4 the following week. We've actually had several enquiries for Amber's already as both parents are from good show lines. We'll be overdosing on puppy breath though!!
She's eating better now and polished off one of the village butchers best farmhouse sausages this morning.

Don't - all those tiny puppy tummies, as well.

A quick update. Orla, the first of the mums had 7 beautiful puppies yesterday, 1 more than we were expecting. It took her under 2 hours for the lot with the last 2 coming lterally at once!

Oh they are adorable. So pleased for you. The pups look a good size and healthy, shiny little things. I'll have the one third from the left, please!

We're still trying to decide what colours to register some of them as. We have 2 black and white boys, a chocolate boy and girl but the rest we don't know. Possibly red sable or wolf sable (whatever they are) I don't really understand Chihuahua colours. The 3rd from the left is beautiful Sueshells. He has a white blaze, tip to his tail and feet.
Orla's a brilliant mum so we've had a job checking them over but they're all looking good.

Amber had her pups on Saturday and we are shattered. She has 4 and they are lovely. A fifth one was stillborn though we can't understand why because she looked perfect. It's sad when life ends before it has a chance to begin.
We now have enough pups for a football team so life will be fun when they are all running around. We were surprised when one of them opened her eyes at six days old! It's the earliest I've ever seen that happen and she's getting interested in the world. We've called her Dora after the explorer. She is solid chocolate with a little white bib and looks like a Cadbury's creme egg with legs!

Oh congrats! More (and regular) photo updates needed please - and being shattered is not a sufficient excuse.
