If you're lucky enough to have a Turkish or other med shop in your area loquats are in season. Cheaper and tastier than early season strawberries |

Do have suggestions for using them Tahir? I like them fresh, but we can pick them up by the crate at the market towards the end of the morning and I can never resist a bargain. |

Never even heard of them. Sounds lovely tho. What do you do with them apart from fresh, and making jam?
(Tahir makes everything into jam, by proxy.) |

Never had enough cheap enough to do anything with bar eat them fresh.
I can imagine it would make a good sorbet, there are plenty of jam recipes on t'internet and they can allegedly replace apricots in cake recipes |

Salsa does sound more interesting. I wasn't over awed with my jam, but perhaps just not the right combination of additions. |
