"stuff"in a box is not cooking from fresh or a typical ds recipe suggestion but original recipe kraft cheese mac is a filthy secret pleasure of mine

and they still make it

i had no hope when i first saw the box, oddly ace stuff

it was a px staple ages ago

horrible and wonderful

i do a nice cheese mac with posh ingredients and hopefully a few bits of dried sausage or whatever

in a box is odd but splendid

Sorry, but that sounds really horrible Dpack. I remember Kraft cheese from when I was a child, and I quite liked it then, but don't even fancy the look of it now.

Personally I prefer home made cauliflower cheese, but of course, each to their own taste.

dried cheese powder, dried milk, starch of some sort, easy cook mac and a few odds and ends
they make original and quite a few flavor combos

iirc the box is part empty but is a perfect measure for enough water or milk, a few mins boiling and job done
not quite pot noodle easy but very close

nick, i hope your comment was from the joy of learning it still exists rather than i triggered some old dark trauma

for those who do not know it is one of those seemingly horrible and delicious things that sometimes pop up in such foods

i was very dubious when a chum obtained a case from his seal brother and he was bigging it up like i am doing, it does have a certain chemical charm and moreish texture was my reaction to first try
i had forgotten about it for ages until i was looking at the posh noodles and pasta in the kitchen and rejecting all of them as a boring meal

being somewhat adventurous with food there have been good and bad moments, cheesemac with sea slater topping could be a work of genius
wasabi beetroot was a very poor idea:roll: try it if you dare but don't blame me for suggesting it is a bad idea, ugly combo.

(i need to go to hard rock seaside ) closest emoji but you get the idea

From you description, I think my usual habit of reading the contents would put me off even trying it. I am willing to try fresh road kill pheasant, and squirrel, but that goes beyond acceptable.

Any food that can be stored at room temperature for years and rattles when shaken, yet contains cheese, is not worthy of the name food, or cheese. Awful stuff.

umm, i need to explore the world of culinary delight suppliers

rattles in the box is a good thing*, part of cooking it is a good shake:lol:

*maybe not in the wrong locations

on paper or in decent company it is an object of scorn and derision
the real thing fresh from the box is fairly nasty and wonderful tending to wonderful

i wont start a gregg's cheese and onion pasty wars even if those are sort of ok as well if temps are taken into account, my pasty war is different and i dont care cos my recipe is best

less than 10% of "cheap"food is nice imho
some prole rations are edible and yummy, shock horror,
most are tragic

salt fish dumpling may be considered a delicacy but it is based on slave food
