hehe, indeed not, not even like Surrey chips from the pretty dodgy chip shop across the road, and that's saying something!

Oh, and chips are an all-weather foodstuff How nice is it to have a poke of chips when you're at the seaside?

Drool...got me thinking about the best seaside chips I've ever had, at Whitby in the North East...mmmm...followed by a good ice-cream.

I do oven baked chips with Estima or Maris Piper usually. Have never cooked deep fried ones in my entire life.....

Fed up. The maris bard, which we should have moved onto this week, aren't ready to be dug yet. The spud supplier brought a sample in and they're the size of ping pong balls. Two more weeks of very old maris piper which are taking longer and longer to rumble and trim.
