I made an interesting batch of Blackberry and Apple Jam/Jelly a few weeks back. I've just had some on my porridge so I thought I would post the slightly unusual instructions. They're not exact as I don't tend to follow recipes!

Approx 1.2kg frozen blackberries (gathered from own garden over a few weeks)
Approx 1Kg apples (prepared weight, peelings frozen to be added to apple wine later)
Sugar to taste (I used about 1.5kg but I keep my jam in the fridge so it doesn't need as much sugar to preserve)

I cooked the blackberries until very soft and then sieved them to remove pips. Re-boiled juice and pulp (minus pips) and added very small chunks of apple. Cooked apple and added sugar and tested for set. Cooled a little and put in jars.

I did this to remove the pips but didn't think it necessary to sieve the apple. This gave a firm jelly with small chunks of apple in. It goes really well on top of cereal, in yoghurt and in cooked desserts. It's a little strange on bread but I like it.

So, there you have it Blackberry and Apple Jamelly (TM, Treacodactyl 2004 )

Love the idea of jamelly. Can use it to explain things I make in the jelly bag with the hole in!

Of course, I just don't want McD's using it like their trade marked 'Fruit Toast'

Jamelly must have been used before, I think it's a wonderful name.
