I was not sure where to put this post but hope it is OK here.

Does anyone know of a Massey Ferguson 780 special combine which is being broken for spares or suitable for restoration?

The same for a MF 65 Tractor and/or parts for both the 65 or 35 4 cylinder.

Mr Moonwind (also suffers from Sunwind!!) belongs to a vintage vehicle club (mainly agricultural but also cars and stationery) and is currently just beginning restoration of the 35, a wuffler and is looking at the 780 at the week-end, she will need parts by the sound of it.

Heh heh and he moans about me being on "that" computer!!!

I hope no one minds me posting this here, but apart from the usual magazines that specialise in vintage vehicles and tractors etc it is hard to find as we are not in a naturally arable area it is even harder!

Always keep my eye on ebay. Have been an addict of the place for too long!

The friends of Ferguson website came up with a combine he is looking at this week-end.

With the old machinery it's best to ask everywhere as some of the stuff is so rare these days, people just throw the old out of date machinery away or worse, leave them to rot away in some field and their hsitory dies with many of them.

Quite a few classic tractors and machinery go overseas there seems to be a very good market for them.

Cheers, Spanky. That looks like a great site.

Hey maybe I'll even get my Caterpillar earthmover on there

I have hankered after one since watching the M32 being built in the late 60's.

So femine, full of charm and poise ... hahahahaha

Hubby enquired how I would get one up the road, I replied it wouldn't matter, I would drop the scraper and make my own road

Don't tell him this but I've recently had a finger mower to fit a Grey Fergy cut up and removed by the scrapman

You should have taken it to your nearest agric monthly sale Bodger. They're fetching a few bob at the moment.

Luckily he has a finger mower already

He has a MF 35 4 cylinder with a couple of attachments, although she is still used here and is waiting to be restored.

A Wuffler, which worked perfectly well until made redundant a couple years back.

The combine which should be here in a couple of weeks.

His eye on a MF 65.

He will probably get most, if not all of his while I will have to make do with

I would LOVE a Cat DW21

The nearest I will probably get to that is to name the next entrepeneur of a ferral cat who comes to "adopt" us "DW21"

Ah well we can only wish.

A nice fairground galloping horses roundabout could come in second, but have shallow pockets and probably couldn't get "my leg over" anymore
