Started flat, bit slow in the summer, last few months pulled the figures back, trade just gets better and better. Two thirds of a daily take is plastic though!

Touch wood, pretty good. I'm now approachiing the point where I'm going to have to do some serious juggling to fit everyone in and keep them happy with the limework, which is no bad thing.

I was doing ok but then over the summer lost my internet connection , which then resulted in some problems with ebay

since have been slowing trying to restock my shop but sales have been pretty slow. I have sold a few items this month through another website and had a promising chance with another but they now haven't got back in touch and I'm wondering whether to email them again? I don't want to seem pushy

Yep - be pushy! Took my courage in both hands this morning, sure the bloke hadn't got back because he couldn't quite work out how exactly to tell me to bog off, and I was invited in next week to talk in detail about an order. And I got to that point by thinking, in the end, that at least if he told me to bog off I'd strike him from my list and move on and stop wasting time dithering over it.

I think that bit is important, deals that are up in the air drain your time and energy.

Small xmas update from the online advertising world, December has until now stunk badly 15% or so down on last months revenue from advertising which goes against all logic. Last day or two though, which you would think is past the point of there being any point to advertising, the income has bounced back nicely, can't figure it out at all

There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to our shop sales, we're up on last year, well up, but not as up as we'd like to be. And there's no pattern at all

Penny, are there any differences/patterns with your online and shop sales? Or is it no pattern overall? Just wondered people were shifting to online (or not).

Love the new Avatar HW (sorry you can't really say the same about mine ) No pattern anywhere really, and it's hard to tell as the new site has generated more business anyway

Hmmm... dunno... For us, Christmas is really an interruption, so we expect a quite time, so the opposite of any retail businesses. That said, I seem to have an awful lot of things to keep me busy Glad you like the avatar - that's Kizzie in Greta Garbo mode

It's possible people are spedning budgets before the end of the year., I fyou don't spend it, it's Not Needed, so it won't appear in next year's budget. I always take daft orders before the end of financial years (which may come at any time, depending on the customer)

we have now traded for just over 12 months having started with 6 products i now make 16 and on a rough count we have managed to sell 2,500 jars over the 12 months i have managed to find 4 retail outlets that are selling my products i will have a stock take on 31st march and then decide whether to expand or not as i sill work full time as well cheers brian
