Apparently he'd drenched himself in deer hormone spray to attract bucks in the rutting season, planning to shoot them with his bow and arrow. Imagine the deer's disappointment, smelling the sex hormones and expecting some doe-eyed beauty to be awaiting him in a sun-dappled glade, and finding instead a largeish American with visions of hamburgers dancing in his head.
No wonder the buck gave him a kicking - but given what the buck had in mind on first detecting the scent, perhaps the hunter had a lucky escape  |
