Hello,
I'm new to this site so i hope i'm posting in the right place,
I bought 3 geese last weekend 2 girls and a boy, we took them home and have settled in really well and even laying eggs, But today i noticed that one of the girls wasn't looking herself, she was waddling about like she was in pain,,,, She wasn't limping but just kept sitting down, I just know somethings not quite right with her.
Can they get egg bound? if she's not herself tommorow i was thinking about taking her to the vets tommorow night but i dont really want to stress her out too much because she's just settling in,
Hope i dont sound too daft but could do with some advice and help please, Thanks in advance!

You can also try this site as there are more people who keep geese on it:

Hi Calamity Jane - sorry to hear about your goose not being herself. I'd PM mrsnesbitt - she keeps geese and may be able to suggest something. Please let us know how you get on.

Hi Calamity jane...
It could very well be there is a problem with an egg in her system, I would take her to the vet as soon as possible. If you drop me a pm with your details I will contact you today.

By the way if you take her to the vet get somebody else to drive...wrap her in a towel and stroke the backof her head....they like this....but wear gloves, my bike gloves are great!
