starting to look in to the economics of getting a solar wax extractor (and no I'm not building one) what do I need to know. Whats a good price or company to get one from

A polystyrene fish box or meat box (Handmade meats).
An old double glazing unit to fit over the top.
An old roasting tin with a chunk cut out one end, some fine gauze to strain the wax & a receptacle of your choice to catch the strained wax.
Plus a breeze block to chock it up.
Paint the inside black & away you go.

"(and no I'm not building one)" - sorry, can't compute that... why would anyone pay for a solar wax extractor......

'bout £100 seems to be the going rate - can't see how that would ever be recoverable.

Why not use the services of another local beekeeper - I'm sure someone local would happily process your wax - either free or for a little barter....
