A special sort of saucepan used by Erikht and his fellow Swedes for pickling beetroots.

Put some honeyed radishes in your tea and repeat that.

More randomly deleted posts eh?

I thought crofter asked a perfectly reasonable question.

No ta. I'll wait for you to find justification for banning me if that's OK.

Guys, you need to chill out a bit. Its looking to me like mods tempers are fraying, and it looks like members tempers are fraying too. And in those circumstances neither modding decisions nor decisions on what to post will be as well considered as they should be. This resurrected thread is surely very good evidence that you don't get good moderation in this place by poking the mods with a stick.

Edit: And, mods, while your position in recent events is of course no-win, comments like the above one aren't helping either. Chill.

I agree with this. I am sorry if the moderators think that I am pestering them unnecessarily and am aware that it is their ball. However, I am disturbed that someone could be banned simply for being in a relationship with somebody else who was banned. I am merely seeking confirmation as to whether this is in fact the case, and if so, is it now policy for future bans?

They won't (and can't) tell you why they've done something like that. Its confidential, its between them and whichever member, and they shouldn't be drawn into a guessing game on the subject either (was it because..?).

I don't know if Madame Bear has been banned. If she has been, then I don't know why. But I'd respect our modding team less for breaching confidentiality; that really is an absolute no-no.

There have been many complaints recently about the increasingly aggressive nature of many of the threads on downsizer.

The staffroom has decided to either ban or warn specific members who were identified as being key contributors to this change.

It has taken a long time to reach this decision and we hope it will make the forum a pleasanter place to be going forward.

Please note this decision is final and not up for debate.
