As the last poll is quite old now and may not reflect everyones current views, could we ask you all to take a moment to let us know by voting in the poll, whether you feel site policy should be to request that we have no moving images in avatars and sig lines (we have heard in the other thread that they make a few members feel distracted and possibly a bit unwell), or that we should allow them, or if you genuinely don't have an opinion or preference in this matter, please vote for that so that we can get a sense of how opinion lies.

Many thanks

Nick

That answers the question then.

We won't open this up again now.

You don't get a nice shape when it's wet, though.

Can you stop banging on boringly about how boring a boring thread is, otherwise I'll have to assume that in fact it is fascinating and you're just trying to keep it all to yourself, so I'll have to read it to find out and if it is indeed boring, I'll be bored, but will also be cross about wasting time so that will stop me being bored.

Which brings us back to the start.

I prefer the things on the page to stay still...... unless it is a video that I choose to click on...

Mind you I do like these two smilies: &

The smilies/emoticons don't bother me because they are quite small and it is easy to position the page so you can't see them, if you so wish. Random use of emoticons, static or moving, is a different matter, but they are still easy enough to avoid.

Avatars are considerably bigger and come with every post you make, so I think you have to be more careful about choosing them. If anyone doesn't like mine just tell me and I'll change it - it really isn't worth getting upset about.
