You don't get a nice shape when it's wet, though.

Can you stop banging on boringly about how boring a boring thread is, otherwise I'll have to assume that in fact it is fascinating and you're just trying to keep it all to yourself, so I'll have to read it to find out and if it is indeed boring, I'll be bored, but will also be cross about wasting time so that will stop me being bored.

Which brings us back to the start.

I prefer the things on the page to stay still...... unless it is a video that I choose to click on...

Mind you I do like these two smilies: &

The smilies/emoticons don't bother me because they are quite small and it is easy to position the page so you can't see them, if you so wish. Random use of emoticons, static or moving, is a different matter, but they are still easy enough to avoid.

Avatars are considerably bigger and come with every post you make, so I think you have to be more careful about choosing them. If anyone doesn't like mine just tell me and I'll change it - it really isn't worth getting upset about.

I really don't care but it is nicer if the left column doesn't blink.
As Marigold feel so strongly about it my vote goes with her. She obviously has her reasons, she isn't being pedantic. It's hardly cutting your balls off to stop it moving. So to speak.
I think those that oppose and stand defiant should have a good look at themselves. Its hardly a Nelson Mandela, freeing a continent moment. It;s a little blue line that gives some people a headache. If that is how you define yourself then crack on. I think you are being petty, Gekko.

A few years back I put on a moving sig and was asked to removed it (yes I remember who sent me the PM). I fumed for a while then realised that eveybody had the same rule so I did what I was asked and remved it. Yes I did sulk for a bit and did not post for a while but I'm still here.

I was also Pm'd about a moving avatar.......I removed it as requested and changed it... no problem.
I really can't see the point in challenging it
life is too short
Ok it may be the few who find it difficult having the moving one's but surely we're a caring community and want everyone able to join in without distractions!
