How easy is it to cut? Would I need any special tools?

Heavy scissors, or a sharp Stanley knife.

If you mean bitumen felt, you will need a hook shaped stanley blade, cheers Dave NE

I've got an old bread knife I use to cut it with. The small Stanley blades soon get clogged with bitumen.

I tend to use a bot knife and clean the blade off with white spirits when it gets too messy

Cut some bread and pretend it's marmite.
