it appears I shall have courgettes to barter with! Don't all rush at once to have some! Actually there are some mini pumpkins to bring as well. - Oh and I'm about to go and make a cake!

Sorry, picked this up once I got to Mums, so all my barterables are in Wales. All I'll have is the venison to share (didnt plan this very well did i ). Looking forwards to seeing people tomorrow though.

never mind, let me know when you've more in! I've made butterscotch cake to share, and theres a bag of courgettes and some mini pumpkins to barter.

Are you bringing own picnic ( ie sarnies ) plus stuff to share like the venison?

I was thinking of packing my roll up groundsheet to avoid damp bums!

Bit late now but hope you all have a good time. Remember you're representing the site boys and girls so pick up all your litter and don't comment too loudly on the provenance of the next barbecue's burgers

we have a bucket of wine bottles, scones, cake, marinated mushrooms, a portable BBQ, charcoal, some sausages from a decent butcher, water. Just trying to rember anything else to throw in like glasses!

How did it go?

Hope you had a good day everyone! I spent Saturday and Sunday over the allotment as punishment for not being more organised!

Wifee and girls came over Saturday and cleared the plot and harvested everything worth saving, got loads of pumpkins and squashes, and boosted the compost bin with all the greenery . Actually got some ground dug over and planted with winter onions so feeling pleased about weekend after all!

Sally has step by step instructions on her site -

https://www.geocities.com/sallypointer/pointypictures1.html

I just don't think I can justify the time to do one...

ah but I have a cunning plan based on something Sally said yesterday. The hat she was wearing had been crochetted and then put on a hot wash to felt it. I have a knitted hat that I did years ago and its too big, so I've nothing to loose by bunging it in the washing machine and seeing what happens. So there may be other ways to make hats too! ( but expect a 'Help my hat's gone wrong' thread in the not too distant future! )
