OK So I've still got about 5 or 6 pots of lip balm left over from last years hampers so I don't need to make any of that but what on earth can I do with approximately 4lbs of beeswax that I've cleaned?

It needs to be something I can use for the Yule/Christmas Hampers and I've not got time to be making dipped candles nor do I have the appropriate stuff for it

Ive made mine into furniture polish, but you could just sell as beeswax blocks. Contact your local woodturning group or offer for sale on ebay.

I want something that will be suitable for the Christmas hampers for presents - I can easily turn it into beeswax blocks and sell it off that way but I like to put a selection of goodies in the hampers, not just edible and drinkable things, last year I made Honey and Almond lip balms

Little blocks are useful for waxing thread when hand sewing.

I also imagine you could make a rather effective balm for winter elbows and cracked heels!!

I would go for polish too. Wax blocks do go well as they can be used for waxing threads, curing squeaky doors, and bowlers sometimes use them on their hands.

For future reference, candles are also popular, so if you have wick, you can make cast ones using all sorts of things like yoghurt or cream pots for moulds. I make ice candles in old cream tubs.

Paint melted wax on pine cones to make very effective fire lighters.
Candles make great presents & moulds can be cobbed from all sorts of things.

Pine cones sound a fab idea and I've a couple of people who they would be perfect for - I'll get the kids collecting them and we can put sparkles on them - Thank you

As for candles I haven't the time or the inclination to make any this time, I do have loads of tea lights already made

Sounds good but a bit complex for me and especially those I'm giving them to
