Morning all, I've planted quite a few veg seeds using a paper potter to make newspaper pots. The seedlings are starting to come up nicely but I've noticed mould growing around the pots and am unsure how to fix it. I read somewhere about using hydrogen peroxide? or I could make a load more pots and repot? any advice appreciated, thanks pip

I wouldn't worry as long as the seedlings look healthy.
The soil is full of moulds & mycelium from thousands of fungi species doesn't stop the weeds from growing.

Is the mould on the ouside or on the compost surface?
You can go a long way to prevent surface moulds by this method:

Fill pot to within 1 cm or less of top. Soak thoroughly (the compost will settle) . Sow seed on top. Cover with 1cm of dry compost.

Don't water until the seedlings show. Moulds can't get a hold on the dry surface and the seedlings get a head start.

thanks all, the mould is/was mostly on the outside of the newspaper pots with a few places where it had spread over the top a bit. I repotted most of them yesterday and have spaced them (as had them close together for stability!) I'll put a bit of dry compost on top after I water them
