I went fishing off the rocks this morning and blanked but I did manage to capture these images of large raven fledglings on their nest.
I was able to press the right buttons on the camera and take the pictures from 60 to 70 yards away, so that I didn't disturb them.
I was very surprised that the ravens were still hanging around the nest site, because raven chicks are one of the earliest in the year to hatch. These probably hatched in February. This raven nesting site has been active for at least the last ten years and probably longer.

Great photos, I've never quite managed to pin down where the nests are on this farm. They are amazing birds and and that's despite their ability to slice a sheep open in minutes. A lot of our time is spent going round the flock, checking that sheep don't get stuck and become victims of this gruesome death.
I'm sure that you know this but the lesser dog fish doesn't go that much bigger than a couple of pounds. Its the bull huss that go into double figures. Those small doggies are very tasty.
