Soups would be a good way of using a decent sized pile.

I really enjoy breaking up the flowers and sprinkling on salads along with calendula petals when I'm feeling posh.

We'd probably have finished the leeks ages ago only I'm often too lazy to go get them when it's dark in the evenings.

Fresh - Leeks, cabbages, turnip top, a few beetroot (voles keep scoffing them from under, leaving just the leaves) and lots of lovely foraged things

May to November? Went in as fairly decently rooted plants, so got away fairly quickly.

Beautiful crop of leaves but no root to speak of. Where may I have gone wrong?

Doubtful it would be a lack of sun or water. Wondering if a too rich soil might be to blame?

there are a few good books,i cant quite remember the one rob recommended to me but it was called something like "cattle behavior"
