Found a couple of these in the area where I walk, a sort of shallow forest. any ideas?

Found these not 10 feet from my house, they are shaggy ink caps right? They are still only small, if they are ink caps...when is best to eat them?

The 3rd and 4th where growing together look very similar presumably the same mushroom. They were growing under this tree:

ahhh yes that seems to be more of a match. Roger says: "Edible but best avoided due to possible confusion with poisonous species" and "Taste and smell not distinctive"

you may be right, in my book it says that the gills on the Moelleri can be white when younger. With these being in a greenhouse i imaging they are particularly clean/pale
