how about peppers or aubergines ? taste nice with the toms
I grow a swiss chard in a greenhouse v successfully - a nice change from brassicas early in the season - but grow the white stemmed ones ...

no - no mites - and v healthy looking legs/feet otherwise.

I have got a sorry hen with the same symptoms.
She s pecking at her toes at the join of her toes with the nails.
She doesn't have any raised scales on her legs (mites), and no sign of underfoot swel ...

yes - main thing is keeping the tops cools so they don't push shoots. Or you could just put pots in the propagator with vermiculite and compost and root with bottom heat - with the lid off. Not quite ...

Hi, something I had read about but not tried before.
When you want to root hard wood cuttings - in this case grape vine cuttings try callousing them first before planting.

I have never tried to thin them - as more of the varieties in the greenhouse are nice loose bunches. And some of them in the polytunnels have such tight bunches I wouldn't risk damaging the fruit that ...

yes our big Herman tree is dripping ripe fruit too - and the smaller one too. Been picking for about 5 days now...
and it is a great non cling to the stone early plum - that is not as early as Methle ...

chard - the white stalked varieties - I find the 'rainbow' has rather musty flavour in comparison.
I find it seeds itself like mad .... small leaves good in salads too..
