turn it off, turn it on again.....?
umm, this is a(n ongoing) fable, it could never happen, or could it?
once upon a time, a wednesday morning to be precise, mummy bear discovered her broadband was cold
daddy bear woke up and discovered his broadband was cold, daddy bear took it off the stove, relit the fire and his and her porridge was lovely and warm
mummy bear descended wondering why her broadband porridge was wonderfully warm again and to announce that she had ordered a new stove
a new stove is fine if it is better and cheaper to run, and the old one was broken rather than the fire went out etc,
that day the old one worked/works and the new one is in the post, it arrives on the thursday and sits in boxes
at half past nine on friday mummy bear remembers there is a time for everything and the new stove will self-destruct at midnight like a pumpkin coach
daddy bear scrapes the fire out of the old and working stove and embeds the new stove in the fireplace
the old stove was friendly with many of the household sprites, the new stove does not know them, they do not know it
daddy bear eventually got daddy bear's pooter talking to the new stove, but his pooter cannot talk to his printer any more
mummy bear did manage to translate telly to wifi, under duress before midnight, with arcane codes and dark magic
later that dark night while daddy bear was assisting the big camera out of hibernation big camera accidentally snapped a rather nice image
daddy bear, being an arty sort, saw the potential and so did the photoshop elves
daddy bear's pooter no longer speaks to daddy bear's nice printer, they both know of the other and are refusing to speak in a common language through the new stove pipes
daddy bear would be happier with a sore arse and still functional tech
