Hi Guys,

I'm thinking that the general concensus is that the top one works best. I've put them all in the same image here, and the seperate image has been tweaked a bit (fatter right arm and darker globe lines) as suggested, it does look better.

Wonderful work, I think the tweaked one will be best.

We cannot thank you both enough

I think the tweaked one too.
They are all brilliant, and I can only imagine the amount of work that went into them.
Thank you both very, very much. Your efforts are appreciated, and a wonderfull contribution to the site.

I believe the graphic is a layered vector form. So given the appropriate editor we are always left with something that can have detail easily manipulated.

Sorry, but I think that you have ruined it. The fatter arm, the darker lines - none of it works!

I maintain what I said all along ..... the original was the best .... and still is ....

Please Downsizer - use the original "top" image - untweaked

Why don't we present the final two candidates side by side and do a poll?

I really find words like "ruined" over egg the differences.

Agree with the idea of a poll.

Once we have the right one, me with the undoubted help of Tahir will retreat into a huddle, scratch each others eyes out, as we always do on matter of style and redesign both the main site and the forum to use the new logo.

We will also then be able to progess on providing images for downsizer people can use on other sites, t-shirts, business cards that can be distributed at farmers markets etc, and probably any number of other ideas that have been on hold whilst we have examined and rejected a dozen or more logo attempts.

We wanted the logo to be a great one that we could use forever and now we have one

I know it's no help but I still have a fondness for the original, even though the new ones are ace could we continue to use the original somewhere? just to be sentimental.

And whilst we are on the subject of downsizer, those who have contributed so professionally to this new design, typify what we want to achieve with the site.

It's not about cliques, it's about learning from each other.

Of course the orginal is not the original which was god awful and done by me Neils logo which is the current one, I like a lot But is a total headache on all the boring practical things we need from a logo.
