Wooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!

How cool is that?!?!?

I have to say, thanks has to go to my hubbie for sticking to my plan while I was away for a large part of the week

That's so unbelievably cool!

Well, we're aiming for keeping it up as much as possible.

Averaged out it's about £90 per household. Roughly speaking.

Or half a pig a year!

so what's my prize?

2600 units a year saving if we keep it up which equals about £260 a year by my (dubious) calculations a not completely insignificant amount of money at all. In fact it's more than enough to pay for that new kite that I want

YAY

Thanks for spuring us on to get this test made, I can see us both being a bit more proactive at turning lights off.

Top tip of the day is to only boil enough water to make 1 cup of tea if you're only making one cup.

Pah! I think not! I told you I was going to make you a new kite anyway!

Anyone interested, I'm going to have a stab at making one of these ...

https://freedom2000.free.fr/NPW_voile_eng.html

...at some point, maybe not that exact one, but I will surely post something about it when I do

Doesn't look too tricky, then again, I haven't had the sewing machine out for some time

I tell you what, if anyone is interested in making them, there's some money to be made, these kinds of kites can be flippin' expensive, and can't be too pricy to make in comparison (put it this way, OHs latest kite I got him for Christmas was over £400, closer to £500!!!!!)...I think I'll be too slow, but I'm going to give it a go, there's lots of free kite patterns out there.

Well I'm amazed, the only 2 things we did different were, fill 3 Lt flask for tea coffee, so we only boiled kettle 2 times a day. Switched all lights of when not being used & every thing off of standby. Mrs P cut down on the washing machine, only full loads went in as with the dishwasher.

I'm very happy with the results, and on coarse to cut it down more this week.

Thanks Penny, great idea.
