That's great! Did you make up the pattern or find it somewhere?

I made it up, I'm hopeless at understanding knitting patterns so I based it on a knitted penguin that someone made for me when I was a baby.

That's brilliant! I don't suppose you could write it down... ?

And to match, you could always make 'Tuck'

Well, I'd like to but it kind of got made up as I went along.

I started with the bottom, went round and round, increasing it and working it on 4 needles from 1 stitch out until it looked roughly an inch and a half across.

Then started bringing it up into a tube, a bit like knitting a sock but still adding the odd random stitch in to make it get fatter.

When it was about 2 inches high I started to narrow it down again until I had a bag with a narrow neck.

Stuffed the body.

Carried on knitting, widened it out to make the head.

Stuffed the head and sewed up the top.

The wings are just diamond shapes folded in half, the feet and beak are made the same way.

I knitted the cloak separately and then cut out the logo from felt and sewed it on to the cloak.

The hat is made of felt too.

Sorry I can't be more specific but knitting patterns really are like Greek to me.

Love 'Tuck' btw. I might try making him now.
